About Course
There are many different definitions of an Entrepreneur.
- “Entrepreneurship is the process of designing, launching, and running a new business, which is often initially a small business. The people who create these businesses are called entrepreneurs”. (Wikipedia)
- “A person who sets up a business or businesses, taking on financial risks in the hope of profit”. (Oxford Dictionary)
- “A person who establishes an enterprise with the aim of solving social problems or effecting social change”. (Oxford Dictionary)
A core skill needed in order to be considered ‘entrepreneurial’ is to be able to spot business opportunities and take action to address gaps in the market.
Being an entrepreneur is essentially about being an opportunity-seeker able to recognise viable opportunities, which can be difficult indeed but spotting the right opportunity at the right time and within the most favourable conditions can be one of the key factors leading to success or to failure.
